Tinta is a fast, lightweight markdown and Mermaid viewer for Windows, published by oipoistar and currently available at version 3.7.1 as one of twenty-two released versions. Built with Direct2D and DirectWrite for hardware-accelerated rendering, it ships as a single native executable of about 2.4 MB that starts in under 100 ms, with no Electron, no web engine, and no installer. As a document viewer and reader in the markdown and technical documentation category, it serves use cases such as reviewing and annotating documents, navigating large note collections, reading technical documentation with diagrams and math, and preparing files for publication. Features include review annotations with a copy-for-agent loop, plain-text file references with mouse back and forward navigation, rendered link previews on hover, and export to HTML, DOCX, and PDF, plus optional Pandoc export to EPUB, ODT, PPTX, RTF, and LaTeX.
